At this meeting in 2007 in Singapore, members form 28 journalism education association from six continents identified 11 principles to serve as a standard for journalism education worldwide.

IPDC recognizes the Paris Declaration on Freedom of Journalism Education
The declaration was recognized by UNESCO’s International Program for the Development of Communication at its plenary session on November 26, 2020 (IPDC).
