The WJEC Steering Committee is an administrative and policy arm of the World Journalism Education Council (WJEC). In between the sessions of the Council’s General Assembly the decision-making power rests with the Steering Committee.
The WJEC chair is also chair of the six-member Steering Committee. Each member serves a three-year term and is eligible for reelection to a second term. WJEC strives to have a Steering Committee representative from every continent in which there is a member organization.
This is a call to nominate the WJEC Steering Committee for 2025-28. Self-nominations are welcome. Please send nominations to Nico Drok (nicodrok@gmail.com) by July 1, 2025. The new Steering Committee will be chosen at the Council’s General Assembly in San Francisco on August 7, 2025.
